Y ya que estamos, una opinión sobre el filme desde Argentina. El periódico retoma el tema desde el nacimiento del Living With War hasta la confección de la película, lo que sirve para hacer un resumen de todo el proceso.
Ahora solo queda que cuando la veas, me des tu opinión. Creo que interesará a los demás playeros.
Una nota divertida. El Tío Neil sale muy favorecido en la foto que ilustra el artículo. Sin discusión.

En la web de Antena3 noticias he encontrado estos comentarios sobre los primeros pasos del Grunge y claro, el Tio Neil no podía faltar a esa cita.
Lo que más me ha gustado es eso de…

El grunge tenía una filosofía de vida: ser fiel a uno mismo y no venderse a nadie.

Pienso que desde luego que Neil Young se amantiene firme en estos principios.

Además de “padre” e “hijo” tenían otra cualidad en común. Para los que desconozcáis esa otra faceta, Lee Marvin también cantaba, como lo atestigua el 45 rpm reproducido. La cara b se la deja a otro tipo que además dirige al igual que nuestro Neil.

Here is another *totally uncirculated* NY&CH master recording. The following night is already on the tracker. SQ is comparable, but probably a shade off the other one. A little more chatter etc. But basically if you liked that you will like this. If you don’t have 1991-02-06 I would get that first. This one has a different encore from the next night and a song not found on Weld. Hot diggity!

La sociedad secreta de Neil Young

El otro día me topé con este blog y me hizo gracia la información que presentaba, según la cual Neil Young es miembro de una sociedad secreta llamada: The Sons Of Lee Marvin.
Al principio me hizo gracia, luego también. Es que esta gente son unos cachondos. Te cuento.
Por lo visto Jim Jarmusch promovió en su día una sociedad “secreta” de admiradores de Lee Marvin. Solo se necesita tres condiciones para pertenecer a ella: ser hombre, tener una apariencia aceptable(?) y admirar sobre todas la cosas al actor Lee Marvin.
A ella, además de nuestro Tío y el propio Jarmusch, pertenecen Tom Wait, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, John Lurie y Thurston Moore entre otros.
Lo que no he podido encontrar son los objetivos de tan secreta sociedad. Supongo que uno de los primeros será catar las sucesivas cosechas de vino tinto de California mientras se pasa alguna película del actor en cuestión.
Lo que sí he visto es el uniforme que utilizan para las reuniones generales…
